Ros Thomas is Associate Professor and former Head of Psychology, Sociology and Professional Counselling Programs at Webster University Geneva. She earned a DPhil. from Oxford University, an MA in Clinical Social Work from the University of Witwatersrand and a BA (Hons) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She spent 15 years in clinical practice and trained in CBT and EMDR. She worked in the fields of mental health, criminal justice and stress and trauma. Her research and writing addresses stress and coping in humanitarian workers, the health of the international organization workforce, and counselling in Switzerland. She consulted to multinational companies on psychological support for relocating staff and facilitates peer support training for the UN. She spearheaded the accreditation of the MA Counseling Program of Webster University in Switzerland.
