Study Trip to Paris

The GCP art history course led by Dr. Maryvelma O’Neil spent three days in Paris that were primarily focused on modern French art. The group saw hundreds of masterpieces in the art-lined halls of the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay and Centre Pompidou.

“Our visit to Montmartre was a wonderful portrayal of Parisian life back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries,” said Lisa Gonzalez, a study abroad from Mission Viejo (California). “We got to peek into the artist’s lives, hear their stories, and imagine their relationships with one another.” The group photo was taken against the backdrop of a very original wall commemorating Marcel Aymé’s acclaimed tale “The Man Who Walked Through Walls” (1943).
