Students in Green Cross Exhibition

Green Cross Exhibition

Following the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, delegates called for the creation of a civil society organization to deliver global environmental solutions, a ‘Red Cross for the environment.’ This led to the creation of the Green Cross which was launched in 1993.

Every year since 2011, the Green Cross has organized ‘The Future We Want’, a photo exhibition which aims to show possible solutions for clean energy, water and food security, and sustainable livelihoods. The 2017 exhibition will be shown along the Quai Wilson on Geneva’s lakefront from the 5th to the 30th of September, and at the COP23 at the Climate Change Forum in Germany.
The work of eight Webster Geneva Campus students was selected to be part of this photography exhibition. The images were taken in Tuscany as part of a research project on eco-villages. The students participating are Luka Dacic, Thanalay Tachapanich, Athena Carey, Maya Komarova, Tino D'Arpa, Jennifer Fetcho, Karina Ivankova, and Grigory Loginov.
