On June 13, 2019, the Media Communications Department hosted a Spotlight Seminar exploring different digital threats that risk harming the reputation of individuals and businesses.

Stephane Koch, an expert in internet security and digital strategies and Vice-President of ImmuniWeb, explained the business risks posed by digital threats to reputation, including a loss of consumer trust and the loss of corporate knowledge and experienced employees and the related financial losses. He encouraged companies to proactively establish strategies to manage digital threats before they occur, based on transparency with the public. Viola Krebs, lecturer and professor in international business and communications at UBIS and the founder of ICVolunteers, encouraged companies to conduct a cybersecurity risk assessment to protect against such threats.

The Spotlight Seminar Series is sponsored by the MA in Communications Management.
