Communication regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

COVID-19 Latest announcement (update on 8 June) from Webster Geneva Campus

Switzerland has now entered the third phase of its deconfinement plan.  While the authorities continue to monitor our situation in Geneva, reports are generally very positive about Swiss progress in the first two phase of deconfinement.  As of June 8th, universities, services and stores are now open.

Our staff are returning to work (maintaining social distancing measures) on a rotation so that most student services are available from 9:00 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 16:00, Monday through Friday.  (Webster Geneva Campus will continue to deliver our current summer courses remotely).

We recommend campus visits by appointment. All guests should first check-in at the main Reception in the Administrative building. Our campus leadership, department managers and facilities team are each working daily to ensure a safe and pleasant campus environment, and to plan for our Fall class sessions.

The safety and well-being of our community is our highest priority and we are continuing to monitor the situation closely and follow the recommendations of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) as well as the Canton of Geneva.

COVID-19 Latest announcement (update on 15 April) from Webster Geneva Campus

While the Swiss authorities continue to monitor our situation in Geneva, our leadership has decided to continue with remote (interactive, online) teaching for the Summer 2020 term schedule (18 May to 10 July).  Students should contact Academic Advising for course selection and registrations.

COVID-19 Announcement (updated March 19):   Webster Geneva Campus

The safety and well-being of our community is our highest priority and we are continuing to monitor the situation closely and follow the recommendations of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) as well as the Canton of Geneva.

Webster Geneva Campus moved all classes online starting Monday March 16th and courses will remain online through the end of the semester.  The plan aligns with Webster University’s policy and measures for maintaining educational continuity.

Current students should also review the "further information" bullet points, listed at the bottom of this page.

Following the Swiss and Geneva Cantonal protocols for COVID-19 and our move to online course delivery, campus services will operate virtually. While our library, cafeteria and computer labs are closed, our staff and faculty are working from home to continue delivering online courses and to support our students and applicants to the university.  The University's Admissions, Academic Advising, Business Office, and Registrar will remain available.  Our Career Services and Library teams will also provide student support remotely.

While our university intends to limit on-campus presence as much as possible, for any specific activities that may still require on-campus support (such as payments by credit card, textbook pick-ups), please request an appointment by email to the relevant office contact.  For a bookstore visit or textbook information, please reach Mr. Hove at  +41 22 959 8015.

For more urgent requests, phone lines on campus have been redirected to the appropriate staff mobile numbers.

Webster Geneva Campus thanks our entire community of students, faculty and staff, who are working to continue providing all services as best we are able. We appreciate your patience in advance for any unexpected delayed response in services.
